A 30-year-old sports instructor from Levallois-Perret (Hauts-de-Seine) was sentenced by the Nanterre criminal court (Hauts-de-Seine) on Monday, November 18, 2024. He was prosecuted for soliciting a minor under of 15 years with a view to transmitting his pornographic image, reports The Parisian .
The events took place in June 2023. The defendant had created a Snapchat account pretending to be a young girl. He then contacted a 12-year-old schoolgirl to ask her for naked photos, says the daily. The child had initially refused but ended up breaking down in the face of the pressure that the thirty-year-old was exerting with another account on the application.
The defendant denies certain accusations
In court, the defendant affirmed that he believed the victim was an adult and denied having claimed that he was a minor. The Ile-de-France resident was sentenced to two years in prison as well as an obligation of care and work. He is also prohibited from contacting the victim and working with minors.
