The trendy guide to tables, bars, shops and rooms, presented this Monday, at the Georges, on the roof of the Center Pompidou, in , its 17 winners of the year.

In the West, anything new? In any case, this is one of the trends that stands out from the 17 prizes awarded this Monday evening, at the restaurant Le Georges, on the roof of the Center Georges Pompidou, in Paris, by the Fooding guide.

The champion of the “taste of the times” thus continues his momentum, assumed for four years, of highlighting more addresses located in the provinces than in Paris, long the favorite territory of this guide launched in 2000 and entirely purchased by Michelin in 2020.

The Atlantic coast is doing well with seven winners, including two in Saint-Jean-de-Luz (a city spotted in our columns last summer as a destination with the wind in its sails): Iñaki Aizpitarte, darling of Fooding already at the head of Chateaubriand (Paris), for his Petit Grill Basque Luzien but also his entire career, and the fresh Café Belardi. But also Elizaberriko Etxeberria in Hasparren (still in the Basque Country), three restaurants in and one in Cap-Ferret.

The capital still leaves with four prizes, remaining the city best represented in the list: the two bistros of star chefs Antoine Villard – Dandelion (20th) – and Pierre Touitou – 19 Saint Roch (1st) -, the equally highly rated pizzeria (and delicious) from baker Dan Pearson and the couple from Rigmarole – Oobatz (11e) -, the bistrot montmartrois l’Arpaon (18e).

If , three times awarded last year, leaves empty-handed, the Mediterranean is represented thanks to the breakthrough of , which sees two award-winning addresses (not restaurants however): the Hôtel du Couvent and the Povera cocktail bar.

Finally, let us highlight the presence of three addresses whose owners are women (alone): Emmanuelle Lachaud (Le Flores in Saint-Hilaire d’Ozilhan in ), Gallianne Delaforge (Juste une Lichette in Brioude in Haute-) and Mahaut Le Lagadec (Café Enez in Douarnenez in Finistère).

The guide, which lists 350 restaurants, bars, rooms and shops, and offers 34 pages of magazine content, will be released on newsstands and bookstores on Thursday November 21, 2024, at the price of €20.
