The young singer-songwriter Noor has released a first EP Sad stories stick to my bodyin October 2024. She is in concert at Saulnières, in Le Mans (Sarthe), on Thursday November 21.
You won the Inouïs Springboard at Printemps de Bourges 2024. What has this grand prize changed for you?
This distinction gave me strength and confidence. There were many candidates. This award validates my project, particularly for live performance, because it gave me legitimacy on stage. It was emotionally strong. This price allowed me to do a lot of dates afterwards.
In what state of mind did you approach writing the songs for your first EP, Sad stories stick to my body ?
I hadn’t imagined a particular theme. I sing about my experiences and unfortunately I have only known unhappy adventures. I write from emotion, and today my stories are gloomy. However, I remain hopeful and I believe enormously in love. Even though they are personal stories, I observe that these songs touch people’s hearts.
What relationship do you have with the stage?
I am a sensitive, tormented and fragile person. Concerts give me adrenaline, I taste happiness on stage. It’s the only place where I thrive. I never feel as strong as on stage. I love these moments of meeting and interacting with the public. It is in concert that I realize the magnitude of the music, because we are in the truth.
