Jim Carrey is once again struck by grief. The actor lost his elder sister.
Actor Jim Carrey, 62, is in mourning. The star of “The Mask”, “Dumb and Dumber” and “The Truman Show” lost his older sister Rita, radio host and singer. The announcement of her death was made by her husband on Facebook, as revealed by TMZ on November 15 by sharing a publication.
“Rita passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday November 14. We shared sixteen years together and we got married last year in July, in the outdoor ceremony she had always dreamed of,” noted her husband Alex, adding that his wife was everything to him.
For his part, Jim Carrey, who grew up in Canada with his two sisters Rita and Patricia and his brother John, has not reacted for the moment and prefers to face this sad news in private, he who has lost several loved ones in recent years.
The actor has already had to deal with the disappearance of his brother John, in 2019, following a rare blood disease called aplastic anemia.
He also faced the disappearance of his ex-partner Cathriona White, who died in 2015 of a drug overdose, shortly after their breakup.
