THE gardens of the Royal Palace in Paris and its lime trees as your first vision in the morning when you get up, there are worse things, we will agree. A wealthy American couple has just bought it by getting their hands on a private mansion located at 15 rue de Beaujolais (1st arrondissement). For this they paid 25 million eurosnoted Business immo. Or more than 38,000 euros per m².
A private mansion on five levels with elevator
In this area popular with the heroine of Emily in Paris, near the Louvre, the Tuileries gardens and Place Vendôme, this private mansion of around 650 m² has five levels and is equipped with an elevator.
“The noble floor offers impressive volumes with nearly 4 meters of ceiling height,” detailed the John Taylor agency in its announcement. It also highlighted “a magnificent double wrought iron staircase banister, fashioned by Diego Giacometti himself”.
Another advantage of this unobstructed property, with “fabulous views”, is the presence on the 4th floor of an interior patio which “gives very beautiful overhead light”. A 90 m² basement completes the whole.
In rue de Beaujolais, located between rue de Valois and rue Montpensier, these new owners now have the Grand Véfour restaurant as a neighbor. Its gilded woodwork, its red velvet benches, its painted canvases inspired by Pompeian frescoes and its view of the magnificent gardens have made the reputation of this place steeped in history, classified as a Historic Monument in 1983.
