Having left for Vietnam at the beginning of November with her association “La Bonne Etoile”, Laeticia Hallyday was forced to put her trip on hold due to health concerns. But more fear than harm.

Despite a detour via the Ho Chi Minh hospital, Laeticia Hallyday was able to resume her trip to Vietnam. Arriving in early November in South-East Asia, to meet the children she supports through her association “La Bonne Etoile”, Johnny's widow encountered a health problem which required the advice of local doctors. .

Contrary to what has been said in the press in recent days, Laeticia Hallyday was not urgently hospitalized for pyelonephritis, a serious kidney infection. If she did consult a Vietnamese doctor in the middle of the week, the diagnosis was much less worrying. Having left with antibiotics for a mild infection, Jade and Joy's mother was able to resume her humanitarian journey.

A long-awaited return to Vietnam

President of the “La Bonne Etoile” association, which she founded with her friend Hélène Darroze in 2012, Laeticia Hallyday helps vulnerable children by offering them access to care and education. A few days ago, it was with great emotion that she went to meet the disabled children cared for by the “Go Vap Orphanage”, one of the largest orphanages in Ho Chi Minh.

It had been several years since Taulier's widow had returned to Vietnam, the country of birth of her adopted daughters Jade and Joy (20 and 16 years old). If the latter have already been able to accompany her on some of her humanitarian trips, this time they are following their mother's journey remotely, from Los Angeles, where they live: Jade is studying art and design in Otis College, her sister continued her secondary studies at the French high school.
