A Toronto couple going through a divorce was forced to involve their lawyers to find out who would get a precious ticket purchased during their relationship: tickets to a Taylor Swift concert.

Sell the tickets and share the profits? Designate one of the two who will be able to obtain the tickets and attend the show? Lawyer and director of M. & Co, Anna-Marie Musson, shared this dilemma in a LinkedIn post this week.
“Are the tickets an asset since they have value today, but not after Thursday? This raised legal questions about ownership and valuation of assets not traditionally encountered with concert tickets,” she explained.
