Three months after the broadcast of the first episode, the season 19 of “Love is in the meadow” is about to bow out on M6. In fact, the channel will broadcast the assessments on Monday November 25 and December 2. Two exceptional evenings to find out if the twelve farmers of the season have found the one of their hearts. One thing is certain, these meetings promise to be rich in emotion with a record number of couples formed and even… a marriage proposal ! Until then, the farmers and their suitors continue to get to know the one who will perhaps become their other half. This is the case of Valentin who fell under the spell of Flavie.
However, in this November 11 episode, the cow breeder learned a sad news. Installed opposite Karine Le Marchand, his beautiful announced that she was suffering from cancer and that she had to start chemotherapy. “A week after I left Valentin's farm, the surgeon called me to quickly make an appointment. I had undergone surgery for a tumor that was considered benign before participating in the show.“. Unfortunately, this tumor was -in fact- malignant.
Faced with this ordeal, production asked the 21-year-old young woman if she wanted to stop her adventure in “Love is in the meadow”. Out of the question for her. On the contrary, as she confided, the show allowed her to take your mind off things, to think about the future and not focus on this shocking announcement. An announcement which obviously affected the farmer based in the Channel. In West Francehe tells how he heard the news and how he reacted.
“Love is in the meadow”: Valentin more than ever alongside Flavie
In the episode that viewers were able to discover this November 11, the couple reveals that Flavie suffers from cancer in front of Karine Le Marchand but… Valentin had known about it for some time. To our colleagues, he tells how it all happened off camera. “I was on my tractor, she said to me: “Stop everything, I need to talk to you” says the young 26-year-old farmer. He specifies that Flavie “was afraid to tell me because she was afraid I would leave herthat was not the case” he confides while specifying that the production was extremely kind and attentive to them.
But this ordeal in life does not seem to have kept the two lovebirds apart. On the contrary. “I accompanied her until the end, she underwent chemo treatment. While she was off work, she was convalescing at home.” specifies Valentin. Finally, West Francehe gives news of Flavie. “The last treatment stopped at the end of September and she returned to work at the beginning of October (…) She is doing well“. Did they finish this 19th season of “L’amour est dans le pré” hand in hand? Answer in the coming weeks.
