President of the Carrefour des théâtres, Nicolas Frésard draws very good results from the 5th edition of this festival which lowered the curtain on Saturday after the three hits two weeks earlier. During its first part, five troupes from Jura, Bernese Jura and a guest company from Payerne burned the stages of the Théâtre du Jura (TDJ), in Delémont.
It was the second time that the event took over the TDJ, but its first edition to take place on the main stage (La Grande). Two years ago, the Carrefour des théâtres, which is biannual, took place in La Cadette.
The second act of the festival opened at the Forum Saint-Georges, where the Cie Vol de nuit took possession to perform its show five times The Foam of Days. There, all the performances were sold out. La Grande du TDJ received on average between 100 and 120 spectators for each play. A “pleasant” attendance, says Nicolas Frésard.
If the organizers are delighted by the crowds at the TDJ, it is not certain that the experience will be repeated there. This will depend on the amount of revenue. “The time has come to take stock. We cannot yet say what happens next.” This is because renting the TDJ is not cheap. It cost several tens of thousands of francs. A sum considered decent by Nicolas Frésard.
