This is the last event of the year for theassociation Village Arts and Cultures (VAC) of Mansigné (Sarthe).
The VAC invited brass students from the different schools of the Sud Sarthe community of communes and amateur brass players from local orchestras to play alongside the Brass Band on Saturday November 16, 2024.

“This concert is a first. This gathering allows music school students of the South Sarthe community of communes to play alongside amateur and professional musicians from Angers, Laval, Le Mans… and the South Sarthe sector”, underlines Laurent Lair, director of the School of Arts who divides his time between the three centers of the school, Mayet, Le Lude and Mansigné.
Brass Band
Brass Band is an orchestra of light brass and soft brass, forming an ensemble composed of only two instrumental families.
With more than 25 years of passion and sharing, the Brass Band from Pays de la Loire (BBPL) under the leadership of its musical director and conductor Hans Loirs, will perform three works in three parts, two brass pieces with students from schools and the region, film music and finally a finale bringing together all the musicians.
“It’s about bringing together the brass students in order to create a link with the amateur orchestras in a family spirit, to draw attention to the dynamics and influence in and outside the town,” adds Philippe Launay, president of Village Arts et Cultures.
Future concert
Please note, on Saturday March 15, 2025, the Spanish guitarist Ricardo Garciaknown for his interpretations of flamenco mixed with other musical forms, will perform at the cultural center of the School of Arts in Mansigné.
