Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte, Marie-Anne Chazel, Josiane Balasko… The Splendid troupe continues to mourn the death of Michel Blanc and evokes with regret a missed opportunity.

More than a month later, the Splendid troupe continues to mourn Michel Blanc. The interpreter of Jean-Claude Dusse in The Bronzed died on October 3, 2024 following cardiac arrest caused by anaphylactic shock that occurred during a routine medical examination. This November 17, Thierry Lhermitte, Gérard Jugnot and Marie-Anne Chazel will be present on the 8:30 p.m. set on Sunday, presented by Laurent Delahousse, to discuss the troupe, and in particular the sudden disappearance of their friend whom they have known since adolescence .

Before that, everyone will have paid their tribute, sometimes discreetly, to the actor. On November 21, the troupe signed The Splendid on the Splendid, a work for the benefit of medical research that they wrote together. With this moving tribute paid to their friend in the preface and signed by all the members, shared by AFP cultural journalist Jean-François Guyot on A few weeks ago, we said to ourselves that we should all see each other together regularly, otherwise the next time it would be at the cemetery… We were counting on this book to be published to do so… and there were no tears. can't change anything.”

Thierry Lhermitte and Marie-Anne Chazel were indeed present at the funeral of Michel Blanc on October 10, with the rest of the troupe, but did not comment or make a speech during the ceremony. However, they appear alongside the rest of the gang in a photo shared by Marilou Berry, holding a wreath of flowers on which was written “your colleagues of the French intensity”. Previously, the two actors had joined the joint press release from the Splendid troupe, “to express their immense pain” following his disappearance.

Gérard Jugnot is the member of Splendid who has spoken the most to pay tribute to Michel Blanc since his death. To C to you, he confides that they “didn't see each other much anymore” but that they continued to laugh “like idiots, like in high school”, where they met. Speaking to RTL, Gérard Jugnot admitted to receiving “shows of emotion” from fans who still send him their condolences in the street. He also told RMC that he still has a lot of difficulty talking about the disappearance of his friend: “It's a whole part of our life that is changing, because it's fifty years of friendship… What can I say… except that it's a little early.”
