Between smiles and knowing looks, the princely couple were particularly touching this Saturday, June 15, during Trooping the Color, a gathering celebrating the official birthday of the king.

Almost twenty-four hours that the web only talks about them. This Saturday, June 15, Kate Middleton and Prince William greeted the British people together on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. It had been almost six months since the Princess of Wales had reappeared in the public sphere since the announcement of her cancer last March, isolated in her home at Adelaide Cottage to calmly continue her chemotherapy. However, on the occasion of Trooping the Color, the military and official birthday of King Charles III, the latter surprised her fans by making the effort to accompany her family on this very special day.

Kate Middleton was then resplendent for her big return to the monarchy. The Duchess wore a black and white outfit, topped with a headpiece. Surrounded by her children, George, Charlotte and Louis, she went to the lair of Buckingham Palace to admire the parades organized in honor of the sovereign from the royal balcony. Then joined by her husband, Prince William, both offered the photographers a moment of extreme tenderness, which has since been making the rounds on the web.

The couple exchanged many knowing glances and smiles as military, land and air parades took place before their eyes. “Look at the way they look at each other”; “Pure love”; “A photo that says it all,” we read in comments on X or Instagram. According to an expert in Daily Mail , the body language of Charles III’s son denoted a certain “pride” at seeing his wife by his side despite the illness, as well as “a form of relief”. “While Kate gave him a big, very affectionate smile,” continued the specialist. And added: “Kate Middleton’s behavior for her first return was a masterclass about what it’s like to be a royal. Building on the late Queen Elizabeth, she took up this model of stoicism and calm, without a single drop of self-pity or drama.

On the eve of Trooping the Color, Kate Middleton published a message on her social networks to announce to her fans her arrival at the event. Under a photo revealing her under the branches of a large tree, she wrote: “I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement I have received over the last few months. It really made all the difference to William and I and helped us both get through some of the more difficult times. I am making good progress but as anyone who has been through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days. The bad ones you feel weak, tired and you can only rest. But the good ones, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of it. My treatment is still ongoing, and will last several more months. On the days when I feel well enough, it is a joy to take care of my children’s school life, to devote my time to the things that give me energy and positivity, and to start working again a little from home. »

And this sentence that amazed all royal fans: “I look forward to attending the King’s birthday parade this weekend with my family and I hope to participate in some public engagements over the summer, but also knowing that I’m not out of the woods yet.” An appearance which will have commanded even more admiration.
