According to our information, other sequences were filmed in the department, this time at the Château de Commarque, in Les Eyzies. The production teams reportedly spent around two weeks there. Among the headliners, obviously Alexandre Astier, but also Clovis Cornillac and Guillaume Gallienne. The latter two were also seen in a hotel in Sarlat while the Film Festival was taking place at the same time.

Gallienne on familiar ground

Cornillac and Gallienne were on familiar ground: the first, who plays Quarto, has been a regular at the festival for fifteen years now, and had presented his film “It’s magnificent!” » at the Rex cinema in 2022, while the second has ties to Périgord noir, in Sainte-Nathalène. The one who plays Alzagar in “Kaamelott” even had a more particular link with the Château de Commarque, having been the narrator of the audio guides…

This is not the first time that filming has taken place discreetly in Périgord. At the end of 2023, director Quentin Dupieux set up his cameras at the Condat-sur-Vézère aerodrome to shoot “The Second Act”, with Vincent Lindon, Léa Seydoux and Louis Garrel. The feature film, which opened the last Film Festival, was shot in total secrecy. Even the owner of the place, Roland Boissière, did not know which actors were in the casting…
