Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national football team, expressed his thanks to the fans who supported the “Atlas Lions” on various occasions.
During the press conference held after the Moroccan national team’s landslide victory over the Lesotho national team with seven unanswered goals, Regragui said: “I congratulate the players, as the most important thing is the team spirit.”
The national coach confirmed his happiness with the fans’ enthusiastic applause for the Harkas player and chanting his name after the victory over Lesotho.
He added: “We are one family, and I do not like to see the fans booing the players.” “If we want to win the African Cup, we have to be united and support all the players.”
Regarding Ibrahim Diaz’s performance, Regragui explained: “Ibrahim is starting to fit into the group, and he is a great player who adds a lot to the team.”
Regarding free kicks, the national team coach pointed out: “We contracted some time ago with a coach who specializes in free kicks, and his work has begun to bear fruit now.”
He added: “Youssef En-Nesyri regained confidence and returned to scoring, and I am happy with all the strikers who score, such as Diaz and Sofiane Rahimi.”
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team concluded the African Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers with full marks, collecting 18 points and topping the second group, while Lesotho’s balance stopped at 4 points, depriving them of qualification.
