The first manga by French YouTuber Inoxtag, who recently stood out for his ascent of Everest, will be published on November 21, the Webedia agency and publisher Michel Lafon announced in a press release on Saturday. The work is entitled Instinct and was co-written with Basile Monnot and Charles Compain, and illustrated by Charles Compain.

The 22-year-old YouTuber published a video on YouTube the same day, more than an hour long, revealing the release of this book and then recounting his recent two-week trip to Japan.

Instinct is the story of Aki, 19, who has the power to read people’s intentions in the form of aura“, explains Inoxtag in the video.”The thing is, for him it’s mostly a curse. Knowing people’s intentions at every moment shows their true nature. He is therefore disgusted with human beings, and has remained alone since he was little. Following an accident, he was told that he was suffering from an incurable illness, noctus, which condemned him to die in a few months. Except that he meets someone. For the first time in his life, he meets a person whose intentions he cannot see. And she suggests she has the cure to her illness.

Inoxtag, whose real name is Inès Benazzouz, became known on YouTube, where he published content on video games since 2015. He regularly refers to his passion for the world of manga, notably wearing a straw hat, reference to the character Luffy from the One Piece saga.

Mid-September, his documentary Kaizenretracing his ascent of Everest, was a spectacular success. Screened during a single screening at the cinema, it attracted more than 300,000 spectators in theaters, and has since accumulated nearly 38 million views on YouTube.
