The brand new Georges-Gambert rehearsal room of Musiciens en Folie is embellished with the creation of a fresco 9 m wide and 2.30 m high, designed in the musical space, near the carnival hangar, in . This was the subject of an inauguration on Friday November 8 in the presence of the municipality, the group and the Peruvian visual artist well known to Cholet residents, Portugal Ibana Rosillo.

It took two weeks of work and I traced the outline of the fresco, guided the musicians and did the finishing touches.comments the person concerned. The musicians came to add layers of color. It’s their premises and they wanted it to correspond to their world, so they chose very flashy colors, contrasts in colors, modernity and a dynamic design with lots of musical instruments.

A symbol of creativity and cohesion, this fresco was designed to beautify the musical space and reflect the spirit of the collective. After several months of reflection, we contacted Portugal and gave them our initial ideas which were to represent us as best as possible.underlines Sébastien Martin, president of Musiciens en Folie. It is a success since it represents our passion for music and our collective commitment. It is very brightly colored like our costumes and represents the madness of the musicians. It brings joy to the room when we play, just as we can transmit it when we are with the crowd.

A carnival in 2025

Good news for the people of Cholet, Gilles Bourdouleix announced during this inauguration that the carnival would take place as planned.
