Victim of a burglary on Wednesday, videographer Inoxtag, with nearly 9 million subscribers on YouTube, received a significant wave of support. But he would have done well without certain messages. In particular that of the president of the National Rally (RN), Jordan Bardella, who also sent his “support” to the famous YouTuber in a message published Saturday on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“Sad reality of France in 2024: no one is safe from insecurity that has spiraled out of control. Shame on the far-left activists who dare to rejoice with the baseness that characterizes them,” added Jordan Bardella in his message.
This statement was sharply reframed by Inoxtag, real name Inès Benazzouz. “We can’t get enough of you,” he replied, accusing the far-right MEP of “political exploitation”. “Rather support the real French people who really need it…” added the videographer.
Enhanced security
It is not his home but a house that he rented, in Poissy (Yvelines), which was visited on Wednesday, the Versailles prosecutor’s office confirmed to Le Parisien. It was the tenant who discovered the burglary when he returned home, to this house located away from the city. The damage was still being estimated on Thursday, but it could be around 10,000 euros.
In a message published on X, the 22-year-old YouTuber who recently produced a film of his ascent of Everest wanted to reassure his fans. “Friends, everything is fine with me, two burglaries in the space of 6 months,” he wrote. The first was during my climb of Everest, where almost my entire sneaker and watch collection was stolen. The second took place yesterday: in another house of mine where they broke down the window with a crowbar. »
Inoxtag also clarified that the burglar(s) “did not take anything important” and that it had decided to “take the necessary precautions to ensure that this does not happen again”. “I didn’t think it would come to this, but I have to put my house under surveillance from today to ensure my safety and that of my loved ones,” he announced. The investigation was entrusted to the Conflans-Sainte-Honorine police station.
