She is doing her fourth year at the Saint-Martin fair in Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët. Laura Allain, founder of the boutique “Les Créas de Laura”, offers handcrafted jewelry and decorative objects, made by her own hand. “90% of what I offer here is made by me,” assures the merchant. Jewelry, wood engraving, sewing… Around a hundred products are presented on the stand, located in the furniture division, at the Marly gymnasium.
It’s been eight years since Laura Allain made the choice to make a living from her creations. “I did it for fun and over time, it became a real activity. I always try to offer something new,” she explains. Some products come from his imagination, while others correspond to customer desires. “I create a lot on request. I always start from zero in my creations. Even if it’s not perfect, I don’t do any retouching. This is what makes each product unique,” explains the founder of Créas de Laura.
“Creation allows me to express myself”
It is in her workshop, located at her home in Saint-Laurent-de-Terregatte, that Laura Allain makes her objects. This is also where you can make an appointment for any special requests. “Creation allows me to express myself. It’s something that I love and that takes up a lot of my time. That’s all I do,” she confirms. On its fair stand, the prices of its confections vary between €4 and €35 each. It is of course possible to suggest ideas throughout the event. Laura Allain will also be found at the Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët Christmas market.
