Saxophonist also in the cinema
A fanfare is the story of two brothers who were unaware of their respective existences until adulthood.
One is a classical music conductor, the other is a member of a brass band in the North.
Five actors selected for secondary roles, including Yvon Martin, play amateur musician characters in this fanfare.
A role not at all out of place for the Fougerais actor, saxophonist confirmed: he spent eight years at the Fougères conservatory, in the class of Françoise Chérel. “It was a homecoming for me, it reminded me of harmony class,” he smiles.
In En fanfare, I was able to play music like I did in my childhood, and act like I do as an adult!
The filming d’A fanfare took place in the spring of 2023, in the municipality of Lallaing (Nord). The film was also presented at the last Cannes Film Festival, as part of the Cannes Première selection.
An experience that Yvon Martin will be able to evoke in front of the Fougères public during the preview.
On Such a Big Sun
He will also talk about his career as an actor, for the theater as well as for cinema, advertising and television. It is precisely on television that spectators will also find him in the coming weeks, in the series Un si grand soleil (France 2) for which Yvon Martin took on the role of a science teacher.
On Sunday, the Pays de Fougères fanfare battery will participate in this preview.
