Sandra, Samuel and their visually impaired 11-year-old son, Daniel, have been living for a year far from everything, in the mountains. One day, Samuel is found dead at the foot of their house. An investigation into suspicious death has been opened. Sandra is soon charged despite doubt: suicide or homicide? A year later, Daniel attends his mother’s trial, a real dissection of the couple.
The film was presented for the first time as part of the “official competition” of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, and won the Palme d’Or – Justine Triet becoming the third woman to win this prestigious award.
The Tall Blond with a black shoe
November 23 at 7:00 p.m.
DCine
6, rue Mac Dinh Chi, 1is district, Ho Chi Minh City
An absent-minded violinist, François Perrin, wore one black shoe and another brown one that day. It is this unusual aspect which pushes
Louis Toulouse, a French intelligence chief, chose him as a victim. Toulouse wants, in fact, to get rid of its colleague
and lifelong enemy Milan. He sets his subordinate on a false trail by making him believe that Perrin is a dangerous spy. Milan takes the bait and closely monitors the artist, whose slightest act of daily life becomes suspect. Christine, in Milan’s pay, tries to seduce him. Behind the scenes, Toulouse delights in the blunders of his deputy: he awaits his downfall which is sure to happen soon. A farce which received the Silver Bear in Berlin in 1973.
