During the Star Academy bonus exceptionally broadcast this Friday, November 8, 2024, Maïa had the chance to have a nice surprise from her father and tears flowed everywhere.
Emotions were high for this new Star Academy bonus. For this fifth Star Academy bonus, an exceptional program awaited viewers this Friday evening from 9:10 p.m. This change is explained by the broadcast on TF1, Saturday November 9, of the rugby match between France and Japan. This choice of advanced broadcast will be repeated the following week, due to the match between France and New Zealand scheduled for Saturday November 16. An intense evening with renowned artists is therefore broadcast this Friday, November 8, 2024 for the greatest pleasure of the Star Academy. Under the watchful eye of Clara Luciani, godmother of the promotion, who was present all week at the Château de Dammarie-les-Lys, the students will perform numerous duets with distinguished guests chosen by the latter.
“She made me a beautiful declaration of love
An evening rich in emotion and not only thanks to the dazzling performances of certain candidates like Julie on The Singer by Daniel Balavoine or Noah who defends his place as nominee on Lose Control by Teddy Swims but also Ulysse on the title And in 150 years by Raphael. But another notable moment moved viewers. During the evaluations on Monday, November 4, 2024, Maïa moved everyone by singing Both by Seemone in tribute to her dad. And during the prime this Friday, November 8, 2024, Nikos Aliagas took the opportunity to remind him of the beauty of his performance, asking him to sing a little piece again. And the academic certainly did not expect her father to arrive on the scene. She burst into tears like the other candidates and godmother Clara Luciani.
His dad then spoke: “She gave me a beautiful declaration of love so I wanted to give her a short one in turn” he said before launching into a huge tirade, not without emotion. “I am extremely proud of you, out of sight, but not out of mind. I follow you every day on the screen and naturally, I find you dazzling, resplendent, magnificent, sublime, sunny with the desire to make the well around you and all that, I’m going to tell you a secret, it doesn’t surprise me coming from my daughter. Maïa cries, Maïa cries a lot, Maïa cries often. Don’t worry, it’s part of its charm. She cries a lot, all the time (…) It’s her way of externalizing the very beautiful emotions she has inside her, of tearing them from her heart and giving them to us.”
A chain of surprises
During the prime on Saturday October 26, 2024, it was Franck, immunized for the week, who experienced a magical moment while performing the classic Amazing Grace. Very moved, he confided before his performance the importance of gospel in his life, explaining that this musical style had been one of the first he had listened to. “In my family, everyone plays gospel: my mother, my grandmother, my uncles, my aunts… It occupies a huge place in my heart,” he confided. When he began the song, surrounded by a gospel choir, the atmosphere became even more moving. Indeed, at the high point of his performance, a surprise awaited him: his mother, whom he had not seen for three years and who lives in Congo, appeared among the singers. She discreetly moved towards him. Despite the surprise, Franck held out until the end of the song in tears before turning to her and hugging her tenderly.
