We definitely can’t stop it! Last February, Mathis Loirat, resident of Sainte-Pazanne (-Atlantique)had released his first album Vivant, under his artist name, Phénomène.

Phoenix, released November 8

A very personal album, of “conscious rap”: an autobiographical rap where he spoke about his emotions and his sensations.

Here he is back ten months later with a second album, of seven tracks, completely digital this time, entitled Phénix. An evocative title which recalls the rebirth of Mathis Loirat.

“I almost died…,” says the young Pazenais.

When I was 12, I suffered from encephalitis. I was in a coma for a week. I had to relearn everything, from walking to speaking. »

“We only have one life, mine could have ended when I was 12”

So, today, it’s a nice revenge: “By 20 years old, I will have released two albums. I am very happy! » No coincidence that the rapper chose “Phénomène”: “I am going to the end of my musical project. And I challenge myself to accomplish phenomenal things! We only have one life, mine could have ended when I was 12! »

An album designed for the stage

If his first album was very reminiscent of this period, the second is more focused on the future. In the title Promise mePhenomenon says it himself: “ I won’t stop, I give meaning to this life “. More melodic songs, more accessible rap.

“It’s an album designed for the stage. My goal in 2025 is to give concerts. With Vivant, I did three scenes. I already have two stages planned for December, in Bouaye and ,” assures rapper Phénomène.

Authentic texts, without filter

Full of enthusiasm and ambition, Mathis Loirat, also a communications student, worked for several months with the Fil Rouge studio in Nantes, with the collaboration of beatmakers. “ Phénix is a reflection of the strength and support of all the people who have followed me since the start of this adventure. My pieces are characterized by authentic, emotional and unfiltered lyrics. » Some could even be on the radio!

Clips distilled over seven weeks

Phénomène was also interviewed by NRJ: the interview will be broadcast on November 8, 2024, the release day of his seven-track album. Each is accompanied by small original thirty-second clips, revealed on the artist’s social networks, every Friday, at 6 p.m., until December 20, from Friday November 8.

Little “gifts” that Phénomène takes pleasure in offering to his fans, who listen to him and follow him even from abroad. “I have received great feedback from people who tell me that my music does them good, that it is therapeutic… It touches me. »
