Influencer Ophenya, at the heart of accusations of manipulating her young audience, saw her Tiktok account banned.
Ophenya is no longer present on Tiktok. According to Tech&Co’s findings, his account was banned by the platform for reasons still unknown. The influencer has been accused for several years of manipulating her very young audience, to the point of creating a co-dependent relationship.
Nearly 5 million subscribers on Tiktok
She had also been singled out for having promoted the Crush application (renamed Friendzy) which put minors in contact with adults without any particular identity verification. A petition seeking the deletion of his social media accounts had collected more than 2,300 signatures.
Although she is no longer present on Tiktok, Ophenya nevertheless remains present on other platforms, including YouTube with 677,000 subscribers, and on Instagram, with 781,000 subscribers.
In March 2024, it was a program linked to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and co-produced by Webedia and France Télévisions which sparked controversy. Ophenya appeared alongside other internet stars, prompting some of them to cancel their participation. Ultimately, the 24-year-old was removed from the casting, just like Tibo Inshape.
Presenting himself as a “Cupid 4.0”, Ophenya had nearly 5 million subscribers and 223 million likes on Tiktok. She provided advice and life experiences to a very young audience.
