Madonna used an original method to express her reaction to Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.

The queen of pop posted a photo on her Instagram stories of a yellow and orange cherry cake with the message “F**k Trump” written on it.

“I gorged on this cake last night,” she added at the bottom of the image.

In another more sober photo, Madonna posted a message on a selfie of herself: “I’m trying to understand why a convicted felon, a rapist, a fanatic was chosen to lead our country because he is good for ‘economy”.

Before the election, Madonna supported Democratic candidate Kamala Harris after returning from a trip to . “Paris was so fun,” she said. “It was hard to leave, but I had to come home to VOTE @kamalaharris for president!”

The 66-year-old singer previously expressed her admiration for Kamala Harris in 2020, when she was a vice-presidential candidate alongside Joe Biden. “Kamala is an intelligent, compassionate, well-spoken leader who champions justice and equal rights for all,” she said at the time.

The vice president acknowledged Donald Trump’s victory early in the morning of November 6. Four years after leaving Washington as the 45th president, the Republican candidate became the 47th president of the United States.
