Star Wars: A new trilogy in development by Simon Kinberg (X-Men)!

Like a Death Star-sized déjà vu? According to Deadline, a new trilogy Star Wars is in development, with Simon Kinberg (X-Men : Dark Phoenix, X-Men : Apocalypse, Fantastic Four, X-Men : Days of Future Past, X-Men: The Last Stand) to the script and production. The site suggests that it could be a post-Postlogy, which would therefore make it Episodes X, XI et XII of the Saga Skywalker ; but all sources from *all* other American sites say that it will be a completely separate trilogy, with new characters, or the start of a new saga. So much the better, because there is already The New Jedi Order – with the return of Rey – on fire.

Of course, this isn't the first time Lucasfilm has pulled a new trilogy out of its hat, so today's news is nothing out of the ordinary. On the other hand, she asks about other projects in development. Why work on a new trilogy, when four films have already been announced: The Mandalorian and Grogu, The New Jedi Order, The Heir to the Empire et Genesis of the Jedi (not counting the Shawn Levy mystery film)? Even with a feature film every year, there would be plenty to do until 2029! Finally, let's remember that Kinberg already has one foot in the galaxy far, far away, since he is one of the co-creators of Star Wars Rebels
