Artistic practice is one of the foundations of MJC. It is the expression of its popular education values: lifelong learning, the emancipation of individuals, community life. In this sense, the exhibition of activity clubs, until June 23, is always a special moment for the MJC, because it marks the end of a season and allows it to share a beautiful artistic moment with all members and art enthusiasts.

This was the case for more than 80 of them, last Thursday, on the occasion of the opening of this exhibition which highlights the work of 7 activity clubs linked to the creative arts: the photo workshops, led by André Méravilles, the plastic arts workshops (adults and children), led by Léopold Scigala, the sewing workshops, led by Corinne Maviel, the coaching club led by Chantal Rocher, the needlework club led by Yolande De Sousa, the floral creations led by Laurence Lacombe and the workshops of little creative hands led by Marie Fraysse. What made the mayor say “It’s an exhibition that is different from the standards and invigorating. It allows us to see an MJC rich in diversity and talent. For an elected official, the fact that activities are prosperous is a very good indicator. We all have the same objective, that the MJC, just like its Capucines gallery, be a reference for all…”

The MJC speakers who were present were thanked and were able to interact with the visitors, who may join one of their activity clubs next season!

In the meantime, the exhibition can be discovered until June 23. Just like the participants in the opening, you will undoubtedly be amazed by the quality of the works exhibited, the fruit of the work carried out throughout the year.
