Good morning ! The Morning TF1

Calogero is back. And from the first notes of “Parie qu’on s’aime”, the first single from the album X which has just been published, we find its inimitable touch, a lyrical pop rock sound whose heady chorus is supported by the intervention of trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf. “I prefer people to recognize my music after two bars rather than wondering who it is“, admitted the 53-year-old singer this Tuesday, November 5 on the set of “Hello! La Matinale TF1”.

Among the guests on this new opus is the rapper Soprano on “Prends ma main”, a track inspired by the drama of migrants in the Mediterranean. But also his daughter Nina on “Enharmonie”… Just twenty years after a brief appearance on “La Bienvenue”, a track from her third album. “We could hear the bottle at the end because she had just arrived from the maternity ward“, he says about the eldest of his four children.

So I suggested to him“, reveals Calogero. “She’s more into cinema. But she told me why not and we recorded this song which has a bit of a Frank and Sinatra feel to it since we both sing all the time. I am happy and proud.“ Notice to fans: she will join him on stage during the last dates of the tour which ends in December.

What about next? By announcing a few weeks ago that he was preparing a major musical comedy dedicated to Comte de Monte CristoCalogero may have led people to believe that he was going to put his recording career aside. “I don’t listen to my albums, I let them sit. And then listening to that one again on a radio show, I said to myself ‘he’s really good, actually!'” he admits with a laugh. “Maybe I won’t do better!

Because if I don’t make music anyway, I die“, he insists. “This is what balances the man that I am, the father that I am. I lived all these years doing concerts (…) I also want to do film music.
