Last year, as part of the Telethonl‘Atelier 155has Cahorshad created a surprise, by putting auction an original workcreated by the 3 artists Jérôme Tuffal, Jérôme Theilborie and Jem Legraff. This breathtaking auction made it possible to raise €5,500 for research into rare diseases.
This year, Atelier 155 is once again participating in the Telethon, with a new work for three, echoing this year’s theme “All builders”.
Three artists from Cahors united for the Telethon
This work will appear like a puzzle with different pieces, which like the human genome fit together within a circular creation, symbolizing yin and yang, earth and sea.
Jérôme Theilborie created two works based on wood carefully covered with metal, one on the sea side with carp, and another on the land side with a temple, within the Asian representation of the sun. On a red background, these two round works, made from material, are complementary.
Jem Legraff, graffiti artist, created the earth part, with a Japanese cherry tree near a temple, using a fine spray gun.
Jérôme Tuffal, using fluid art painting, created the “water” part, through a swirl of waves.
This circular work will be carried by a character, a work of pop art created by Jérôme Theilborie, like a person who carries the world.
These are therefore three artists, and four forms of art who are joining forces for the benefit of the AFM-Téléthon. This unique creation will have required 4 months of work and reflection.
The work unveiled for the Telethon
The completed work will be presented, exclusively, during the launch of the Telethon, in their Atelier 155, on Friday November 29, 2024 at 6 p.m., during the auction, with a starting price of €500. The workshop will be open to the public all day Saturday, November 30, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a friendly drink offered at 11:30 a.m., and a musical atmosphere. During this day, you will be able to discover the work, evaluate it with a view to raising the bids, and also (re)discover the works of the three artists. A ballot box will be available for the benefit of Téléhon. The auction of the collective work will close on Sunday 1is December at 12 p.m. Will they manage to beat last year’s record?
These three artists, attached to the cause of the AFM-Téléthon, are ready to repeat the adventure every year, through an atypical and surprising artistic creation. For them, this constitutes a great adventure, both human and artistic.
