The artist scared his Australian fans who came to applaud him in Melbourne this Sunday, November 3, by falling into a trapdoor in the middle of a concert.

Coldplay singer Chris Martin suffered an impressive fall during a concert this Sunday, November 3 in Melbourne. While he presented to the public the artist Emmanuel Kelly – first part of the group – to sing the title with him EverglowChris Martin fell through a trapdoor on the stage.

In the images, posted on social networks, we see the artist moving backwards on stage while speaking and not seeing that a trap door has opened on the ground behind him to bring Emmanuel Kelly out.

Continuing to move backwards, Chris Martin ended up falling into the hole. Caught by a technician, he then quickly gets up to continue the show.

“That was not planned. Thank you for catching me. I’m fine, thank you,” he said after his fall.

Olivia Rodrigo’s similar fall

In mid-October, another artist, Olivia Rodrigo, also fell during a concert in Melbourne, due to an open trapdoor on stage, but in a different concert hall.

As she ran across the stage, the 21-year-old singer suddenly disappeared into an open trap door that she hadn’t seen. Holding on with her hands, she came back up quickly, to the concern of the fans. Hospitalized after the concert as a precaution, Olivia Rodrigo ultimately escaped unscathed.
