After the documentary series dedicated to David Beckham and soberly titled “Beckham”, launched on Netflix in October 2023, it is Victoria Beckham’s turn to have a series in her name. No broadcast date has yet been announced, but this is what the former Spice Girls came to discuss with Anna Wintour.

Margaret Qualley as Victoria Beckham

The fashion designer and the popess with dark glasses spoke during a filmed interview on October 16, as part of the “Forces of Fashion” event organized by the magazine Vogue. It was there that Anna Wintour asked Victoria Beckham “the ideal casting” she would imagine to play her role and that of her husband if a documentary on the couple were to see the light of day. “Oh my God, I don’t know,” the ex-singer first replied before passing the ball back to him. “I wasn’t expecting that question. Who do you think would do?” If Victoria Beckham seemed taken by surprise by this question, Anna Wintour, she had apparently thought about it well. “I thought Margaret Qualley would do,” she replied.

Brad Pitt as David Beckham

Regarding the actor who could, according to her, play her husband, Victoria Beckham did not seem much more comfortable in answering. But Posh still ventured to give an idea. “Oh my God, I don’t know, let’s say Brad Pitt,” she suggested before adding: “He’s handsome.” Blonde, handsome… why not?

Anna Wintour had another choice in mind in the person of Joe Alwyn. “Maybe a little younger,” said the editor-in-chief of Vogue American. Joe Alwyn is currently starring in the film “Kinds of Kindness”, by Yorgos Lanthimos, whose cast also includes Margaret Qualley.

According to the first information given by Netflix, the documentary series dedicated to Victoria Beckham “will follow her reinvention as the creative director of her own brand, offering exclusive access to Victoria, her fashion and beauty business, as well as her unpublished archives.” In November 2023, the designer had already confided a very sensitive element from her past. She had in fact revealed on social networks that she had been the victim of school bullying when she was younger. The upcoming series promises new revelations in Posh’s not-so-quiet life.
