Mariah Carey kicked off the Christmas season this Friday, November 1, by posting her now traditional Christmas video on social media.
PEOPLE – Good habits die hard. While the hit “All I Want For Christmas” was released on November 1, 1994, its singer is now associated with the end-of-year holiday season, and it doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon. 30 years after the release of the single, Mariah Carey shared her traditional Christmas video this Friday, November 1, on her social networks. Goodbye Halloween, Christmas is back.
All lovers of the Christmas period were impatiently awaiting this sentence: the singer launched the start of the festivities with the famous “It’s timeeeeeeeeeeee.” At the start of the video, we see Mariah Carey in the character of Morticia Addams, the matriarch of the Addams family, symbol of the spooky Halloween period. The singer performs a wild tango with a man in a haunted mansion, dressed in a long black dress, in front of a backdrop of ghosts.
But as the clock ticks and November approaches, she next decides to head to her closet. The 55-year-old artist finds her famous Christmas outfit there, before singing “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. By chance of the artistic direction, the young man who previously danced with Mariah transforms… into a snowman. No doubt, we are there.

The singer calls for people to vote
Last year, Mariah Carey even met President Joe Biden and Vice President, now Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, for the holidays at the White House.
This year, the superstar used his notoriety and the success of his Christmas song in a more political way. She called on Americans to vote in the November 5 election, in a video alongside actress Kerry Washington. “No, no, no it’s not your season yet Mariah, it’s voting season”she told him.
