These two works, of powerful dimensions and symbolism, are accessible to the public for a year as part of the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the creation of the National Foundation of Museums (FNM) headed by the painter Mehdi Qotbi.

The first work represents the character Mary Poppins, who, with “its sprawling shape and bright color palette, is distinguished by its six protectors emerging from a central body. She skillfully combines industrial textures and hand-sewn fabrics».

The second work, “Royal Valkyrie,” is a warrior goddess “exuberant, dressed in floral brocades with patterns and techniques inspired by Nisa, a Portuguese village renowned for its artisanal know-how”, according to the documentation.

The sculptures “soft fabrics that make up this installation, made with hooks and sausages of fabric, recall Portuguese Baroque with an innovative vision specific to the artist», According to the same source.

The exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of the Portuguese ambassador to Morocco, Carlos Pereira Marques, and the director of the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Abdelaziz El Idrissi. Both parties expressed their satisfaction that the Museum could organize this exhibition which celebrates the good ties between the two countries.
