The screenwriter was reappointed by Albert René for the next issue of The Adventures of Asterix, as was the designer Didier Conrad.
The screenwriter Fabcaro, who came to write the adventures of Asterix for L’Iris blanc published in 2023, will be added for the next album of the Gallic comic book hero, he announced Monday in an interview with West France.
“It wasn’t planned but, yes, here we go again. Initially, I was called for just one album to replace Jean-Yves Ferri who wanted to work on his adventures with De Gaulle. But Éditions Albert René told me that he might need more time and told me not to stop me from thinking about a new scenario. It was confirmed”he told the daily.

For the writing of the story of this 41st album, the title and release date of which are not yet known, Fabcaro confided that he was “closer to the end than the beginning”without giving details, while Didier Conrad will remain on the drawing.
The previous adventures of Asterix, marketed in October 2023, finished in first place in the book sales ranking in France last year, according to the ranking of the GfK institute which refers, with 1.54 million copies sold in two months.
