Casablanca vibrates to the rhythm of an intergenerational show of Andalusian music

Organized by the AMoroccan Association of Andalusian (AMMA) under the theme “New Synergy in Moroccan Andalusian Music”, the concert which celebrates the richness of Andalusian music, is part of the mission to contribute to preserving, promoting, and reinventing Moroccan musical heritage.

From the first notes, the atmosphere of the evening was tinged with a moving nostalgia, where the ancestral melodies awakened memories in the hearts of the public, while offering them a touch of modernity. Briouellegendary figure of Andalusian music, and Marahati, bearer of a divine voice, captivated the audience with interpretations where tradition blended harmoniously with contemporary creative elements.

By performing classic pieces of Andalusian music, enriched by touches of melhoun a you chgourithe artists knew how to vibrate the collective soul of the spectators, who let themselves be carried away on this musical journey between past and present. The compositions reinvented by the duo offered a unique spectacle, where tradition found a new lease of life thanks to innovative voices, instruments, and arrangements.

The atmosphere of the evening, both festive and spiritual, reflected a true communion between the artists and the public. The audience, of varying ages and backgrounds, soaked up each song with palpable enthusiasm, some singing the lyrics echoing the artists, others following the rhythms by clapping their hands.

Sanaa Marahati declared to MAP, to be proud to share the stage with an icon such as Briouel, who works to promote Moroccan musical heritageexplaining that the concert was designed to highlight the richness of Moroccan music.

Pour Fatima MabchourFounding President of AMMA, this concert is more than a simple performance, it symbolizes synergy and intergenerational exchange, the very essence of the mission pursued by the AMMA : bringing together styles, ages, and cultures to create Moroccan Andalusian music a bridge between generations.

And to add that this evening is part of the mission of the association which since its creation, has been committed to preserving and promoting Moroccan musical heritage through cultural initiatives which celebrate its authenticity and diversity, emphasizing that this cultural event demonstrates that the “renewal” in Andalusian music can only be achieved if we respect the fundamentals of this art.

Briouel, with his mastery and respect for musical roots, and Marahati, with his interpretation full of freshness and originality, have proven that it is possible to perpetuate a heritage while reinventing it for new ears. Together, they offered a show as authentic as it was original, integrating classic and modern elements, all with deep respect for the roots of this art.
