Trumpeter Jean-Claude Borelly displays 50 years of career. Since 2007, he has performed on tours, in churches and cathedrals with his show “Au choir des melodies”.

Directory for a wide audience

Met before a concert, Jean-Claude Borelly told our colleagues from “Réveil Normand” that he appreciated:

the environment of religious buildings which lends itself admirably well to the timbre of the instrument. In this respect, I perform a repertoire for a wide audience. This also allows a close concert with the public, which also changes performance halls.

Program

He will perform classic tunesof gospel, but also jazz, extracts from Albinoni’s Adagio, the essential Il Silenzio, film scores, compositions by Pierre Bachelet, Barbra Streisand, Édith Piaf. Without forgetting the famous Dolannes Mélodie which, in 1975, was his immense success, with five million records sold.

15 million records sold

Jean-Claude Borelly was born on July 2, 1953. At the age of 7, after seeing Louis Armstrong on television, he explains to his parents that he wants to play the trumpet. He meets an eminent trumpeter from the Paris Opera who is touched by his passion and sincerity. He introduced him to the instrument, guided him to the conservatory and accompanied him during his studies at the Normal School of Music. He became a professional trumpeter at the age of 19 and performed in numerous revues.

Jean-Claude Borelly has a career crowned with 22 gold discswith 15 million records sold in 23 countries, more than 2,700 concerts worldwide.
