For several years now, Celine Dion has been fighting against illness. But it was only in December 2022 that she revealed what was preventing her from getting back on stage and living a normal life. “I was diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called Stiff-person syndrome. (…) “We do not yet know everything about this rare disease, but we now know that it is the cause of muscle spasms from which I suffer. Unfortunately, these spasms affect my everyday life on many levels. I sometimes have difficulty walking and I can’t always use my vocal cords to sing as I would like“, she confided. Since then, she sometimes gives her news or lets her sister do it for her. However, very soon, Celine Dion will speak in the documentary I Am: Celine Diondirected by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Irene Taylor, available on Amazon Prime Video on June 25.
