The hip-hop troupe Bad put up quite a battle against the troupe RK.Tÿpe on Sunday evening during the face-to-face matches. A battle that she won by two votes to one, thanks to her technique and her great creativity.

Personifying spies, the dancers of Quebec were entrusted with a mission; leave the circular stage with a feeling of pride. A feeling that she had not felt in season 4, when she was eliminated in the semi-finals.

““Revolution” is hard on the body and the mind. We weren’t prepared. We didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into. When we knew that there would be a version of the stars, we said to ourselves that it was the perfect moment to prove what we had to prove,” underlined choreographer and dancer Kassandra Boivin-Cénélia.
“We didn’t know if we were going to pass the first stage, but what we wanted above all was to make ourselves proud. “We didn’t manage to do that unfortunately the other season,” she added, admitting that there was nothing more unpleasant than coming off stage with the feeling of being able to do more and of be able to deliver more.

“It’s the all-star season, as a coach, I had no choice but to ask myself what our strengths were, our superpowers, what will ensure that we will pass for sure. After thinking about it, I realized that my superpower was really my hair,” she replied, imagining her troop as a band of superheroes using their hair as a weapon to defeat their enemies.
It was the judicious use of their captain’s braids, but also the message of strength and resilience hidden behind it, that allowed Bad to secure his place on the show for one more week.

“When you have textured hair, afro hair, it’s just an adventure. It’s difficult growing up with this type of hair, especially in Quebec. I think Mel – who was moved to tears following their performance – was moved because she understands the difficulties. You don’t want to, I had braids two meters long. The beautiful thing is that we used them and it became our group strength,” continued Kassandra.
It was from this stage of the competition that Bad realized that it was with their craziest ideas that they had to go for it and keep moving forward, maintained the choreographer.
Their game plan for the future will consist of pushing their ideas hard again and sending important messages to them through their numbers.
“Revolution” is broadcast on Sunday evenings, 7:30 p.m., on TVA and can be replayed at any time on TVA+.
