The apprentice actors of the Tous en Scène theater club in Pacy-sur-Eure (Eure) meet regularly four evenings a week for various workshops. The professor and president Florence Coulibaly allows everyone, from children to seniors, to find their space for expression.
Plays and a festival
One of the workshops aims to strengthen self-confidence, breathing, articulation and improvisation. “After a day of work, participating in this workshop represents a real moment of breathing and well-being,” expresses Lucile, a new arrival, with enthusiasm. When teenagers explore pieces by Molière, adults try their hand at contemporary works like The First Name or The idiots’ dinner. All classes take place in the Leclerc room which has a stage and backstage.
The company organizes each year the Tous en Scène festivalwhich has become essential in Pacy-sur-Eure. The 23rd edition is planned March 28, 29 and 30, 2025.
Every year, our troop grows thanks to word of mouth and social networks
Florence Coulibaly, passionate about this art since her beginnings in college, anticipates a year full of projects. “We recently presented our piece Beware of misplaced trash bags in Saint-Prix, in front of a very receptive audience of around a hundred people. Their enthusiasm motivates us to continue.” Other performances are already planned, notably that of November 24 for the association Imagine For Margo.
A committed troop
Florence Coulibaly took the reins of the club four years ago, succeeding the Noël couple. “Each year, our troop grows thanks to word of mouth and social networks. We are attracting new members.” She also highlights the importance of teamwork, working closely with Carole, Gwen and Nicolas to organize events like the festival. “Commitment to local culture is at the heart of our concerns.”
In addition to performances in neighboring towns, the troupe participates in local events. Shortly, Sunday October 27 and Thursday October 31the actors will animate an eventful journey in Valley of Horror as part of the Halloween activities offered by the Eure Valley Railway (CFVE). Later, a street theater project is in preparation with the Union of Pacy Val’Eure traders.
For those who wish to discover or join the troop, registrations are still open. More information is available on the website www.tesap.net or by contacting 07 85 20 65 84.
