Scour announces Gold for February 2025 with the explosive single Infuser.

Infuser : a resounding comeback for Scour

The blackened Death Metal band Scour, led by Phil Anselmo (Pantera, Down), has just revealed the details of its next album, Goldscheduled for February 21, 2025. This record will be released via Housecore Records in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe. As a preview, the single Infuser is available now, accompanied by a powerful video directed by Malcolm Pugh.

In this first extract, Phil Anselmo impresses with his vocal power as striking as ever, proving that Scour remains faithful to his raw intensity. Derek Engemann, guitarist of the group, describes Infuser as “a relentless fusion of complex riffs and ruthless intensity”.

The lyrics of the song are inspired by the short novel Infuser by Jon Padgett, adding a literary dimension to this already energetic piece. Engemann also points out that Mark Kloeppel's guitar solo is “undoubtedly one of his most accomplished works, capable of going straight to the heart”.

Gold : a promising album

Gold marks Scour's first full-length album, succeeding the EP Black released in 2020. Recorded in Phil Anselmo's personal studio, Nodferatu's Lair, and partly during Pantera's tours, the album benefited from mixing by Dennis Israel and mastering by Jens Bogren.

This new opus, composed of 13 tracks, highlights a dream team of musicians from the extreme scene: Derek Engemann, John Jarvis, Mark Kloeppel and Adam Jarvis. Here is the tracklist:

  • Cross
  • Blades
  • Infuser
  • Ornaments
  • Coin
  • Evil
  • Devil
  • Contaminated
