This weekend D23 took place in California, the ultimate event for Disney fans, here are the big announcements concerning future films and new features at Disneyland .

What’s new at Disneyland Paris

From January 2025, Disneyland Paris will offer a new nighttime show which will integrate drones as well as projections on Main Street USA, as is already the case in California and Florida, with characters such as Pinocchio, Beauty and the Beast, Encanto or Buzz Lightyear.

From 2026, the Walt Disney Studios park will change its name to Disney Adventure World, because that year the new “World of Frozen” land will open. This new area will host a new nighttime show on Adventure Bay Lake in 2026, incorporating fountains and drones.

The last big announcement is the confirmation of the land on the theme of “Lion King”, whose franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, this new area will give way to a Splash attraction which will allow us to travel to the African savannah. We will find the emblematic characters of the universe, such as Simba, Pumbaa, Timon… in a setting of “Lion Rock”.

The attraction’s story will trace Simba’s childhood to his ascension to the throne, this area will also host character meet-and-greets, restaurants and shops.
