Singer Joost Klein, who is due to compete in the final on Saturday evening, will no longer rehearse “until further notice” after an “incident”.

Dutch Eurovision contestant Joost Klein will no longer rehearse until “further notice” after an “incident”, Sky News reports. The performance of the Dutch singer is at this stage uncertain for the final on Saturday evening.

In a press release the EBU, the union of European broadcasters which organizes Eurovision, indicates that an investigation is underway following this incident involving the 26-year-old singer.

“We have no further comments at this time and will communicate again in due course,” the EBU statement said.

The Netherlands managed to qualify for the Eurovision final on Thursday May 9 during the second semi-final of the music competition. Nine other countries qualified during this evening, including Israel which is the subject of controversy due to its participation.

26 countries will compete on Saturday evening for the Eurovision 2024 final. France, automatically qualified for the final, will be represented by singer Slimane and his piece My love.
