A moment in a bubble. Literally and figuratively since the big concert took place under a plastic roof. Nearly 3,000 of them came this Saturday evening to Villers-Cotterêts to enjoy the show led by Zaho de Sagazan. Before the performer of the “Symphony of the Clouds”, two artists opened the ball: Ladaniva and Baloji. But the big evening meeting should not overshadow the rich program of the day. It was the African puppets of Yaya Coulibaly and her company, who opened the ball with a festive parade in the city center. “It was surprising because the puppets are not like those back home”comments Emile, aged 8. He came with his little sister Joséphine and his mother Maguelone from South Aisne. “We are from Château-Thierry. We stay the day so that the children can enjoy the activities. And me from the concert in the evening »smiles the mother. This first day of the Francophonie festival in the French-speaking city also brought local people, like Blandine, from a small village near Villers-Cotterêts or Paris, like Laurent and Odile, who accompanied their daughter Camille.
The festival continues this Sunday, October 6 from 11 a.m., at the city of the French language. Programming on www.cite-langue-francaise.fr
