Jay Scott and the Boogie Wonder Band at the Gourmet Fair

The program for the 22nd edition of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Northeastern Ontario Gourmet Fair was unveiled Tuesday afternoon at Ville-Marie city hall.

This year, the big top will host shows as well as artisans and exhibitors from August 16 to 18.

Personally, I find it cool in the sense that we will be less exhausting on our technical teams and our volunteers and to bring it all back to this marquee, it will be wow. It was like that in the past and I’m happy because it really makes a beautiful uniquenessexplains the co-founder of the Foire gourmande, Bernard Flebus.

Around fifty agroprocessors have confirmed their presence at the event under the theme Our Fair.

Around fifteen artists will perform during the event. Nine performances are scheduled on the street stage and seven on the main stage.

For the musical component, it is the artist from New Liskeard, Jamie Dupuis, winner of first place in the Canadian Guitar Festival competition in 2016, who will open the ball Friday evening. He will be followed by the disco group Boogie Wonder Band. DJ Lykos will close the evening.

Saturday evening, Témiscamingue singer Elliot P. will be opening at 9 p.m.

Montreal rapper Jay Scott, winner of song of the year at ADISQ in 2022, will be on stage from 10:30 p.m. and, to end the evening, hip-hop artist Nate MB will perform on the fair scene.

On Friday, I was looking for something that would get us moving. We have Jamie Dupuis who is a renowned guitarist, after the Boogie Wonder Band who promises us a disco note. For Friday, I went there with local favorites, and Jay Scott who did us the honor of being among usexplains the manager of shows and non-gourmet activities, Jessica Girard Dubois.

This morning, Canadian Heritage completely abandoned us, so these are big losses.
