Blagnac. Street art: Pablito Zago exhibits at Odyssud

This Wednesday, October 2, the opening of Pablito Zago’s exhibition took place in the Odyssud exhibition hall. “I am passionate about the characters, the masks and the human beings behind the characters,” explained the artist to the mayor, elected officials and the public present. When asked what is most important in his “street art”, he answers without hesitation that it is the context “the encounter is more important than the work itself: with new places, I have a new target” he declares.

Born in 1974 in , Pablito Zago has expressed his art in several countries, notably Mexico, Burma, Morocco, Estonia and the USA. “At the moment I am particularly attracted to Africa and Senegal, I am also working with a Senegalese stylist on a line of clothing of which I am wearing a copy today” he indicates. Attracted to drawing from a very young age, he sees his exhibition as a journey over the past 10 years in which masked characters and humans have given way to walking trees, a world in which water and space plants disappear, leaving it to the public to interpret the underlying messages.

More than 60 classes from schools should have the chance to discover these works as part of school outings, rejoiced Mayor Joseph Carles, while congratulating his teams who worked together with Odyssud and medialudo to be able to set up this exhibition. . For the general public who would like to come and admire the colorful and geometric universe of Pablito Zago, and revisit the world through his prism, visiting the exhibition is free. It is accessible until January 4, 2025 from Tuesday to Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on show evenings in the Odyssud forum.
