Rising star of French cinema, the actor Théo Christine will return to his land in Saint-Gilles--de-Vie to unveil his new film: Live, die, be reborn, at Cinémarine. The session, initially scheduled for Saturday October 5 at 9 p.m., will take place on Sunday October 6 at 5:30 p.m..

Came in January for Vermines

Théo Christine is a regular here, since his previous meeting with the public of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie dates back just a few months. In January, he accompanied Verminesa horror film in which, along with other residents of his suburban apartment building, his character had to face an invasion of deadly spiders. The feature film produced at a breakneck pace by Sébastien Vanicek had landed two nominations for the 2024 César Awards: best first film, and best visual effects.

Love in the time of AIDS

Live, die, be reborn marks a new change of register for the young 28-year-old actor who grew up in the Gillocrucian city. In this drama which takes place in the 90s, he plays Sammy, who flourishes in his relationship with Emma (played by Lou Lampros). But his meeting with Cyril (Victor Belmondo), photographer, will call everything into question. Especially since their romantic relationship will be dynamited by the arrival of AIDS.

The director Gaël Morelrevealed when he was a young actor in Wild reeds by André Téchiné, says of his actors that he did not need to give them any tests, and that it only took one meeting to offer them the role.

JoeyStarr in Supremes: the role that revealed him

After going through the Cours Florent and appearing in the film Lulu naked woman filmed largely in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, Théo Christine became known to the general public in Supremesreleased on screens in 2021, where he plays rapper JoeyStarr in this biopic about the group NTM. An interpretation which had earned him preselected for Révélations des César the following year.

In 2025, the public will find it in cinemas with two other films: Ollie et Magma. He is also expected in season 2 of B.R.I.the detective series about Canal+and is announced in a new series entitled: Someone should ban Sunday afternoons.
