The Web phenomenon “Hot Ones,” which has 13 million subscribers on YouTube, is preparing to arrive in Quebec.
Our journalist had access to the filming of the version of talk showwhich will be hosted here by actor Marc-André Grondin.
In 23 seasons, the biggest American stars have been invited to burn their taste buds by biting into increasingly spicy chicken wings, while answering questions from the host.
“You have ten sauces and you have a gradation on the Scoville scale, which is a scale of pepper intensity, capsaicin concentration to be more precise,” explained Marc-André Grondin.
The latter is also in his first experience as a host. And with two shoots per day, he also tastes all the chicken wings at the same time as his interlocutors.
“Another challenge that I have is, at a certain point, to concentrate so as not to have too much drooling and to be able to ask my questions.”
Among the guests confirmed for this first season of the Quebec edition of “Hot Ones”, we include Katherine Levac, Christine Morency, Pierre-Luc Funk and Stéphane Rousseau.
Hot Ones Québec will be available this fall on the Vrai platform.
