This May 1st is marked by Labor Day. Public holiday and non-working day, the news nevertheless does not take a rest. A fact which Alex Vizorek however seems delighted with. On today’s agenda: avian flu, books and even new words in the dictionary.
“It’s a day that I love!”, the comedian first exclaimed. “At France Inter, as in all public services, we loved working on May 1 because it was the only day when we were paid double. I can’t blame RTL for not paying me double today, since they already pay me triple France Inter every day!“
The chronicler then reacted to this discovery: in Antarctica, a walrus died of bird flu. This is the first case recorded in this mammal: “Avian flu therefore joins the potential causes of mortality in the walrus,” explains Alex Vizorek. “Alongside poaching and climate change!”
The comedian was also surprised by a new entry in the dictionary, that of the actress’s own name “Virginie Efira”: “She who plays in so many films, I first thought that she was going to play the role of the mother of Petit Larousse on the big screen!“
