Since 2022, influencer Dylan Thiry, followed by 1.7 million subscribers on Instagram, has launched several calls for donations for his charity “For our children”.

On Wednesday September 25, the prosecutor’s office confirmed with the Parisianthat the influencer – already known for promoting questionable products including a false remedy that would destroy carcinogenic cells – is being prosecuted for “breach of trust” and will be judged in October 2025.

Several complaints from its subscribers

Since 2022, Dylan Thiry has made several calls for donations and fundraising through the sale of jewelry, the organization of a boxing match but also direct transfers from his subscribers, according to the aid collective for victims of influencers (AVI). Amounts which were to be used for humanitarian actions. But the AVI collective says “noting a significant “discrepancy” between Dylan Thiry’s modest expenses in Madagascar, and the substantial amount of donations”specify our colleagues. Several donors have therefore filed complaints for “breach of trust” in January 2023, triggering the opening of an investigation by the Brigade for the Repression of Astute Delinquency (BRDA).
