The musician and composer Ambroise Willaume, better known under the pseudonym Sage, invited friends and artists with whom he collaborated to cover the hits, but also the lesser known songs, of the icon of French song, now elderly 80 years old.

November Ultra and Zaho de Sagazan stood out on All the boys and girls (1962), Clara Luciani on Personal messagetaken from the album of the same name released in 1973, and Clara Ysé on So many beautiful things (2004). Thomas Dutronc should also have been present but the air traffic controllers’ strike decided otherwise.

“She paints emotion in all its forms”

This concert given for Françoise Hardy is the second act of a larger tribute, which had already been given last January in , during the Hyper Weekend Festival, organized by Radio .

Sage revealed to BFMTV that he had been contacted by the singer who had in mind “a list of 50 songs, each more unknown than the last”.

“I managed to save a few. She was keen that we highlight certain songs that we don’t necessarily think of,” he emphasizes.

The artist PR2B salutes a singer “who paints emotion in all its forms, with different arrangements and approaches”. Voyou reveals to what extent his titles “are complex but give the impression that it can be listened to with great simplicity”. “It’s quite inspiring in the way of making music,” he adds.

“Leave soon and quickly”

“All these singers from another generation covering songs by Françoise Hardy is really great,” enthused a woman, present in the audience, at the microphone of BFMTV.

“It was a great concert, full of emotion, with great artists and musically great,” summed up another.

Françoise Hardy, who has been fighting cancer for almost 20 years, confided last year to Paris Match wanting to “leave soon and quickly, without too many hardships, such as the impossibility of breathing.”
