“Vote for us, support us! As a local trade“We need you,” says Marine Legras, co-manager of the Forge tobacconist. She and her husband Albert have been living in Bacqueville-en-Caux (Seine-Maritime) for three years.

Previously, they ran the Pipe tobacco shop in Étalondes. During this previous adventure, the couple was rewarded twice for their work as part of the tobacconists’ trophies, a ceremony that honors professionals from Seine-Maritime, Oise, etc.

The couple received a reception trophy in 2018 and a renovation trophy in 2020. But as Marine Legras attests, “the reception trophy is the one that has the most value for me. It is a personal investment, it is a part of ourselves that we share with the customer.”

Her husband, a tobacconist for forty years, is of the same opinion: “the number one rule for a trader is to make the customer want to come back. I want him to be received as I would like to be received.”

Both will try to win the reception trophy again.

Competing against two Seine-Maritime tobacco companies

The owners of the Forge tobacco store submitted an application in the spring. And in July, they learned that they had been selected.

“This is the first time that three Norman tobacconists are in the running for the same trophy,” explains the tobacconist. “This year, it’s hot!”

To try to win, professionals are counting on their customers. They can vote for the Bacqueville tobacconist, either by going to its Facebook page or that of the IDF tobacconists.

It is possible to vote once per day and per IP address, “that is to say that from home, you can vote from your phone and your computer”, adds Marine Legras.

On October 13, the famous host Cyril Feraud will announce the results during the ceremony. The couple is keeping their fingers crossed and no matter the outcome, for Albert Legras,

fell in love with the profession since he was little, when his mother ran a tobacconist’s: “it’s a great job, I’m proud, we can see that our customers count on us and that they are loyal.”

To vote for the tobacco of the Forge de Bacqueville-en-Caux, go to its Facebook page or tobacconists Paris IDF. If you go directly to the store, a QR code is to be scanned with your phone to vote.
